Hi Richard!

Sounds really interesting - I do remember that DJL at Koh Tao was advertising some deep wreck dives.
Whats kind of wreck was it? what about the visibility? and much time did you have down at the wreck?

I hope the visibility was better than the one we had diving The Hardeep ‘outside’ Pattaya - the visibility was really crap…

Dived with DJL in 2007 and it was the best diving I have done in Thailand. BSAC Centre of Excellence aimed more at serious tech diving rather than PADI plop diving. Dived a deep wreck (43m) with planned Deco and all the gear needed. Recommended for serious divers.

I am a UK diver and most of my downtime is in a drysuit on the wrecks around Scotland and northern England.

Nice, I have just done a bit of research on Similan Islands and it seems like Khao Lak would be a perfect place for us to start…

Sounds like a great spot, and like a good time there. Group outings are fun for getting together with other divers, but sometimes it’s better to just be your own group, eh?

Hi Nils,

I have been following your stories about Thailand and especially Koh Tao over the last months and I like them a lot. I’m sure that Koh Tao and Sairee Hut Dive Resort will be included in my February dive vacation in Thailand.
But please post something about your wreck diving in Thailand. Did you dive Hardeep, The Petchburi Bremen, HTMS Khram and the Vertical wreck?
